Azienda agricola cotta
Our company is a small, family run located in the Ligurian hinterland, in the province of Imperia. Our family is dedicated to the generation now several olive cultivation and the production of extra virgin. Already our grandparents and Raffaele Violantina Cotta in the thirties were engaged in the olive harvest in winter and in summer to the cultivation of lavender.
The activity is carried on by their son Joseph, who in 1980 decided to establish the holding on crusher millstones still functioning today. In 1997 starts also agritourism activities with the restructuring of the farm “Il Roccolo” Raffaele purchased by his grandfather in 1935 by a noble family of the area .. In 1997 starts also agritourism activities with the renovation of the house and the pink house roccolo.
Since 2003 the company decided to switch to organic farming and is certified organic by bioagricert. In 2010 we decided to further enhance the production of the essential oil of lavender and decide to diversify production by creating the brand Essense, line of organic cosmetics products with our oil and our organic lavender essence. In 2011 expands the farm with the construction of the House Lavender and pool. Currently the company is managed by our father Joseph and us: Simon and Monica.
